The headmaster, deputy headmaster, and Director of Studies at St. John College Magale Secondary School are reportedly being sought by authorities following allegations of financial mismanagement at the institution.

According to statements attributed to the Minister of Local Government, Hon. Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi, the officials are alleged to have gone into hiding after failing to provide satisfactory explanations regarding funds that are reported to be unaccounted for. The minister stated that authorities are working to locate the officials so that they can respond to the allegations and provide explanations concerning the school’s finances.

The controversy comes amid concerns over the condition of the school’s infrastructure. Reports indicate that several classroom roofs are leaking, forcing the school to use plastic sheets and bags to reduce water leakage instead of carrying out proper roof repairs. The state of the buildings has raised concerns among parents, students, and members of the local community, who are calling for urgent improvements to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
